But one of the main problems I have when it comes to edge rendering is, no matter how thin I make the edges, the model's frame is still outlined in the render. It was the same when I opened your Scarlet file on my computer.

Is there some kind of method to preventing this, or is it simply a matter of trial and error?

I'm a frequent user of the standard "toon" render settings in Blender, but as you already know there's only so much one can accomplish with such basic settings.
I want to start using nodes to make more professional looking toon renders (eg: more controllable edges and eyes which are visible through hair), but I don't know where to begin.
Would you be able to provide me with some tips on getting started on a basic toon node? I'd really appreciate it.
