I'm using fcp7 to compressor. following your guidelines specifically. I'm currently uploading in chrome.. I'll get back with ya when it finishes to see if "safari 5.1" was the problem.

on a side note, i just uploaded a 2 min video incognito in chrome that wasn't compressed using vimeo's "compression guidelines", and it worked perfectly.. maybe it's the larger video files that are causing problems? My 1.4gb video is taking a while, we'll
