Joe was the Executive Director of The Coolidge Corner Theatre Foundation from 1999-2009. He undertook the major renovation and restoration of the Art House theatre and made it ADA compliant and installed assisted listening devices in all four screening rooms. He added two small digital video screening rooms and two performance stages. With his Board of Directors and a great collaboration with staff the programming expanded to include Classics, 3-D and Wide-Screen series, Science on Screen, Opera, Kids shows, Senior discounts, Midnites, Sing-alongs, Films in the Parks, and the Deaf and hard of hearing film series.
