Melvin J. Montalban

Melvin J. Montalban is a filmmaker, illustrator, casual guitarist, motion designer, amateur card magician, coffee addict, optimist, reluctant traveller, freelance designer, wannabe drummer, theatre-goer, and also enjoys superfluous adjectives and long lists of half-truths.

In 2008 he graduated from the Australian Film Television Radio School (AFTRS), completing a masters degree in directing for film and TV. He recently directed and co-wrote the short film Cupid, and in 2007 directed Rope Burn, which has played on festival screens in Sydney, Melbourne, LA, Chicago, Seattle and Hong Kong. Melvin has extensive experience directing film, TV commercials, music videos, theatre and the occasional evening of board games and general frivolity.
