I'm a graphic designer and graphic design educator. I teach full-time at CalArts and have a studio, LSD (Louise Sandhaus Design). I'm currently working on a book inspired by Reyner Banham, who speculated that Los Angeles was so unconventional that way to telling it's story had to be invented. So goes my book, Earthquakes, Mudslides, Fires & Riots: California and Graphic Design 1938-1986. To be published by Metropolis/D.A.P. (hopefully), fall 2013.
