St Alfege is the Anglican parish church in the centre of Greenwich. There has been a church here for nearly 1,000 years, dedicated to the memory of Alfege, the Archbishop of Canterbury who was martyred on this site on 19 April 1012.

We celebrated his millennium here over a four-day period, 19-22 April, 2012.

This short film, supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund, tells the story of Alfege and of our celebrations.
