Bec's passion for image making started at an early age. Coming from a family of art lovers and travelers, she was lucky enough to grow up in a rich environment of film, art, music, new places, interesting people and loved capturing every minute of it on her mother's Nikon.
Her love of making images progressed to films. She studied film making at university in Sydney and London, and during this time, she shot music videos for ARIA Award nominated Lisa Mitchell, television commercials starring Craig McLachlan and was nominated for multiple Golden Eye Awards and an Australian Animation and Effects Film Festival award.
Her dreams of being a cinematographer took a turn when she was asked to assist Richard Bailey, one of the most respected fashion photographers in Australia. The opportunity was too good to pass up and she worked for him for three years.
Now with plenty of experience under her belt, she shoots her own fashion and portrait photography and combines it with it her love for film. She has shot campaign films for Just Jeans, Portmans, Myer, Ginger and Smart, and Oxford, as well as stills campaigns for brands such as Coca Cola, Sportscraft, Just Jeans, Ginger and Smart, Sara Phillips, Rebecca Vallance, Camilla and Mad Love. Her editorial work has been published in magazines such as Harper's Bazaar, Instyle Magazine, Grazia, Sunday Magazine, Who, Cosmo, Yen, Ok!, Fashion Gone Rogue, Fan the Fire Magazine, Pages Digital, and Tangent Magazine.
Bec is available for photography and directing or cinematography freelance work.
She is currently divides her time between New York and Sydney, Australia.
