Actually in the end I only ever got this adapter working in low light. I had to be zoomed further in than I'd like with this setup to avoid vignetting in low light, and even zoomed in this far there is a giant hot spot in daylight that makes shooting pretty much impossible.

I've pretty much concluded that unless you get lucky and manage to find just the right object to use as a focus screen, a spinning adapter becomes very impractical. The best I managed was a CD sprayed with "window frost" paint and then covered in scotch tape. Still wasn't great.

I've decided to switch to a vibrating focus screen using a real 35mm focus screen. Projects been on hold due to funds though.
