David Etxeberria

Born in 1977 in San Sebastian (Basque country - Spain), lives and works in Caldas da Rainha. He has a degree in Visual Arts, from the School of Arts and Design of Caldas da Rainha (ESAD.CR), Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (2004). Master's in Contemporary Culture and New Technologies from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the New University of Lisbon (2008) and is currently a doctoral student in the Faculty of Science and Technology, New University of Lisbon.
Develops work as an artist in new media, particularly in video art since 2000, in which stand out, among others, the exhibitions: L'Entre images, art cycle Video: David Etxeberria and Pedro Cabral Santo, (Centro cultural Cartaxo, Cartaxo, 2012); Between Document and Fiction (Maus Hábitos, Porto, 2011); June of Arts (2009, Óbidos), 25 frames per second - Video collection of PLMJ Foundation (Cinema São Jorge, Lisbon, 2007); Options & Futures (Galeria Arte Contempo, Lisbon, 2006); Anteciparte (Estufa Fria, Lisbon, 2005), among others, and International: Festival Magmart (CCAM - Casoria Contemporary Art Museum, Naples, Italy, 2012); FOROSUR 2010 Ibero-American Exhibition of Contemporary Art (Madrid, Spain, 2010), TRUNK 07, Neme: the Nordic Art Video Festival (Jämtlands Läns Museum, Östersund, Sweden, 2007). It is represented in several national and international galleries, including most importantly the Gallery Seven (Coimbra), Arteko Gallery (San Sebastian, Spain) and TAL | TechArtLab (Brasil). His work is also represented in national and international collections such as the PLMJ Foundation Collection.
