Jon Springer is a cult horror filmmaker from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Film Threat called him “a filmmaker who sees nothing as taboo and whose imagination is something to behold” in 2003. Ain’t it Cool News describe Springer's 35mm short "Living Dead Girl" as a “hilarious silent-movie spoof…a grotesque, full-color, Romero-style gore fest.” Fangoria praised his latest horror feature "The Hagstone Demon" calling it "quite effective and creepy." A rave review on QuietEarth.us called the film "a brilliant combo of noir and horror." "The Hagtone Demon" stars Mark Borchardt of "American Movie" fame.
