Mirko Guido is a freelance choreographer and performer based in Stockholm.
Born in Italy in 1981, throughout his career he has been member of several dance companies around Europe and performed works of many choreographers, very diverse in their methods of work.
He is being creating his own works since 2008 in parallel to his activities as dancer, and since 2013 he works as an independent performance maker. Under the name Shifting Thoughts, and in collaboration with other artists, he is being creating stage and site-specific performances, exploring themes like identity and disorientation, interrelations, multiple-affections and transformation. His interest lay also in investigating the relation between audience and performers, questioning the perceptive and participatory level of the viewer, and unfolding the works around the notion of involvement and encounter.
So far his performances have been presented in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Portugal, France and Sweden.
