Kenseth Armstead’s installation and media works have been exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Berlin VideoFest, and MIT. His videos and sculptures are included in the collections of the Centre Pompidou, the African American Museum in Dallas, Texas and numerous private collections. Armstead’s awards include the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, NYFA Video Fellowship, the Camille Hanks-Cosby Fellowship, and the NYSCA Individual Artist Grant in Film & Media. He was recently an Artist in Residence at Harvestworks in New York City, and at the Castle Trebesice in Prague. Armstead has coauthored multimedia installations collaboratively with the art band, X-PRZ, which he co-founded in 1991. He was also the managing editor of Rhizome.org, which he helped launch in 1996.
