Damaris Drummond is an artist exploring the interaction of fine art with new media. A video artist, sculptor, designer and performance artist, she works under the pseudonym Damarisland.
Drummond grew up on a steep hill on the coast of Maine. She earned her BA in Studio Art & Art History from Colby College in 2003. The college curriculum allowed her to study art abroad in France and Italy. Having graced such spaces as Red Rocks Amphitheater, The Denver Art Museum and a even a Red Hook sidewalk, Drummond's work sublimates experience into live performance and film. Drummond has been featured on MTV.com , ManiaTV Networks and Night Magazine. Damarisland is currently living in Brooklyn, NY and is always in search of new collaborators.
