I was born In East New York Brooklyn, moved to Flatbush Brooklyn when I was two. My Father was a musician and my Mother was a poet. (May they R.I.P.) My father was incarcerated When I was 8 years old. Leaving my mother forced to raise me and my brother on her own. I fell in love with Hip Hop and started rhyming when I was 9 years old. Four years later in JR. High School I met Special Ed. We became close friends in High School. Ed made some moves and was on his way to become whom you know. Myself on the other hand was headed in the wrong direction. One day I came home from school to find out we were evicted from our apartment in Flatbush Brooklyn. All of our belongings were out on the street and my mother was nowhere to be found. My Aunt who lived upstairs from us offered me a place to stay. My Aunt told me she would keep a roof over my head but I would have to take care of myself. I was determined to finish High School and move on with my goals. But I needed to eat. I felt I had no choice but to sell drugs to provide myself with food and clothing. Big mistake. The street life began to slowly suck me in but I was still determined. I wrote rhymes constantly. I got my GED from Erasmus Hall High School with plans on attending college. I enrolled in Hunter College in New York City where I met Sadat X. The College scene didn't last long for me. I didn't see it helping me get to where I wanted to be. So I left college. I enrolled In The Institute Of Audio Research in NYC. I began learning recording and engineering. That's where I felt comfortable. But I went home to the streets every day. Half way through the course the streets got me. Now I was facing attempted murder and armed robbery charges. I was facing 8 1/2 to 25 years. The same amount of time my father was doing for the same charges. But I got a break and plea bargained to a lesser charge. I did two years upstate NY(where I met Slick Rick). I came home focused. But first I had to get myself together physically and spiritually. That took time but it was necessary. Once back on the music scene and well focused I worked alongside Da Bush Babies, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Supreme Scientist, Lyrical Wreck many others and of course my brethren Special Ed. I worked for The Hit Factory Recording Studios in NYC before moving to Durham NC, where I reside now. I currently have my own recording studio and am in the process of opening a record company.
