The strike on Wed 16 Sep has been promoted for several weeks now across Australia. A few weeks ago, staff at most universities voted overwhelmingly for industrial action, and around three quarters of staff were personally contacted by phone to discuss the issues surrounding collective bargaining.

The union's point in the video is to show that actually, university staff are not alone, and that we can stand together to improve our conditions and get respect on 16 September.
