Doc is a minion of the theatre who more than occasionally experiments with other mediums of Art. His creative career has tapped into dance, instrumentation, spoken word poetry, film, television, arts management, literature and more. He’s had the pleasure of working with/at a number of respect companies, such as: Interborough Rep (NYC), 7 Stages Theatre (ATL), Fly-By Theatre (ATL), Forestburgh Playhouse (NY), Seaside Rep (FL), Hurry-Up Stage and FilmWorks (FL), The Boys and Girls Club and more. He’s performed, spoken and taught at numerous schools/universities to include: Columbus State University, Auburn University, Georgia Tech Summer Camp, and several local high schools and middle schools throughout the south. He’s produced a number of original readings/presentations on the works Langston Hughes, as well as his own works, and has staged a number of one-man productions, to include the critically acclaimed piece, Throw Pitchfork, written by Alexander Thomas. Doc is the founder and Executive Artistic Director of The Layman Group, a bourgeoning nonprofit arts organization based out of Auburn, Alabama.
