After moving to Costa Rica almost a year ago, i decided to make a documentary about skimboarding here. Surfing in Costa Rica is well, everywhere on the coast. But skimboarding, being such a small grassroots sport, isnt known by many here. Ive met maybe 20 skimboarders in the whole country so far. This documentary explores the often difficult to get to beaches that are suitable for wave skimming. We search maps, online photos, and walk 100's of kilometers to find new skim spots unknown to the rest of the skimming community.
