Green River Preserve (GRP) is a non-competitive, co-ed summer camp connecting children with nature. Located on a 3,400 acre wildlife preserve in the North Carolina Mountains, Green River Preserve inspires campers to have a greater understanding of themselves, their environment, and their fellow man. Designed for rising 2nd – 9th graders, Green River Preserve’s summer camp offers one, two, and three week camp sessions. A wide variety of activities such as hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, outdoor skills, fly fishing, music, art, theater, pottery, woodworking, guitar, archery, and BB skeet foster life time learning skills.
High school expedition trips for rising 9th graders – college freshmen are two or three week adventure and community building programs designed to develop outdoor skills, teamwork, and leadership opportunities.
