Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson is an animator living in Nashville Tennessee. He moved to this strange land many years ago by force and left a magical place where everyone spoke spanish and feasted on tacos. Chris attended Ringling School of Art and Design where he studied Illustration and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2008 with a degree in Animation and motion graphics. Chris freelances and does inhouse work as well. Chris completed an 8 month internship at Magnetic Dreams, an animation studio in Nashville where he worked as a concept artist and character designer. He has credits in doing commercial work for sesame street, and character/conceptual design for clients like DELL and the NHL. Chris is currently in production of a short stop motion animated film entitled “THE SLITHERY DEE ®”. Chris’ main inspirations are Yuri Norstein, Will Vinton, Lotte Reiniger, John Lasseter, John Kricfalusi, very many other talented artists, and everyday occurances.
