Kenji Jasper is an author, journalist and screenwriter who has been writing since the age of 9. His is the author of four novels, including Dark, a Washington Post and New York Times bestseller, and Snow. He is also co-editor of Beats, Rhymes and Life, a collection of critical essays on hip hop culture published by Broadway Books. His writings have appeared in Newsweek, The Village Voice, Essence, and on National Public Radio. A native of Washington, DC, he currently lives in Los Angeles.
