Rare Book Room Records was born in 2008 out of the Rare Book Room Studio, where producer-engineer Nicolas Vernhes has helped create some of your favorite recordings of the past decade-plus (Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, Deerhunter, Silver Jews, Black Dice, Samara Lubelski, Fischerspooner, Cat Power, Blood on the Wall—and dozens more). The same creativity at the heart of the studio's best work is now being brought to the label, curatorially.
