I'm Tracy, I'm 19 and I'm going to School of Visual Arts for Film / Video. I mainly do G&E but I'm also into color grading. I am NOT down with the DSLR bandwagon. I've been skating for more than 9 years now so naturally that was what brought me into the world of video a few years back, and I'm hoping to expand outside that field.

Under render control in your sequence settings, there's a checkbox for frame blending. I believe that if this is unchecked, it will cause frame blending to also be unchecked in the motion tab.

Not really. ISO settings aren't actually altering the chip in any way, it's just the gain of the signal coming from the chip. Not to mention that your iris is probably letting barely any light through if it's a daytime exterior shot.

Have you tried plugging in another firewire device like a harddrive to make sure the port still works?

Light up your scene properly? Your camera can't just see in the dark, you have to give it something before any camera preset will do you any good. I would suggest that you never use AV mode though, always use full manual.
