Brandy Eve Allen's photographs have appeared in numerous shows in Italy and Los Angeles. She has shot posters for films such as Bernardo Bertolucci's "The Dreamers" and "Thirteen". Prefering to stay out of the commercial world of photography, she continues to create photographs in her own intimate and artistic process photographing herself and those she finds a connection with.
"I've been taking photographs of friends and family for the past 14 years. When I moved to Italy at 21 years old and didn't have I anyone I knew around me, I began to shoot self-portraits. Instead of turning the camera on the outside world, I use it as a tool to express what is going on inside my mind and my heart. I like to show what things feel like, rather than what they look like."
