    I use the 501HDV with a Manfrotto 055xprob and I find it is a very stable platform. I shoot with a variety of lenses from 10mm fisheye to Canon 100-400 mm lens. The head is a perfect size. The head operates smoothly and there is n o creep when locked down. How do you like the H4N. I have an H2 and thinking about upgrading.
