Nathan Winters

Before I encourage you to follow and support me it would probably be a first-class idea if I told you just a little bit about myself. So here goes.
I am 29 years old and originally from Lebanon / Lancaster, PA. Yes Amish country. For the past 7 years I would consider myself to be a very lucky young man. I have had the luxury of spending the majority of my time with the two things I love the most. Nature and technology. Professionally I have been working as an entrepreneur/ product manager in the application development space in both Los Angeles and Colorado. And spiritually I have been a mountain man, farmer and a beach bum. I have also been told I have a pretty stellar eye with a camera and have thousands of photos to share.
For 6 of the past 7 years I have had the unique and wonderful luxury of working from home and thanks to my good buddy technology and his good friend high speed internet… I have been able to work from just about anywhere. I have had the amazing experience of working and living in and or around beachside cafes in Venice Beach, sun soaking front porches in Key West and remote cabins in the high elevations of the Rocky Mountains and a few places in between.
This type of freedom and flexibility has always granted me a great deal of time for exploration and travel. And while I have been to a few far corners of the globe I still have a genuine sweet spot for America. I have put an estimated 35 thousand road trip miles across the USA via car and have seen my share of this beautiful country as I constantly seek out that lonely nook or cranny that keeps me guessing.
Over the past 4 years I had been obsessing over a journey across America on foot or bike and was determined to do my part in making a difference for something I believe in. Having lived and experienced so many wonderful natural places in the US and the world I have developed a very strong devotion and love for the land and natural beauty on this planet. So I have decided to apply my love for adventure and my love for nature into a journey with a cause. So I have created follownathan.org.
Simply put... I have decided that enough is enough and I am going to live out my dream. I am going to ride my bike across America and seek out my adventure and I am going to do good for my planet. I am going to create preservation through exploration.
