Hi, name's Adam Barnett. I'm a pretty laid back guy. You'll know I'm relaxed around you when I start to talk about the deepest things ever and/or crack the occasional dry joke lol. I can be sarcastic but, I try not to be unless I'm genuinly annoyed at something. If I'm quiet it's because I'm thinking... not because I don't like you lol. It's very hard to make me mad, and I'd never say anything hurtful to you unless you REally needed to hear it. I'm A CHRISTIAN! But I'm not perfect. I figure you can work on your weak points along the way. God understands as long as you're trying. And I do try my very hardest. Cause I realize there are people watching and comparing what I do to what God is (which actually isn't how it's supposed to work but whatever). Anyway I LOve building things, models of any kind. I'm Kiiind of a country boy, because growing up I was always around my Grandparents on my mom's side, who are the most down to earth godly, good, honest, hardworking, and loving people on the face of the planet. But I'm probably more of a creative and freespirited soul at heart. I'm a little A-Typical, especially for my age. That comes from my Dad. He's an ex jazz/classical musician. Freelanced in L.A. He played the trumpet until his jaw got messed up by "distonia." He's originally from the city, Birmingham to be exact. I also play the trumpet and love to listen to Jazz but haven't done too much improv myself yet. I'm working on it. I was in Marching and Concert Band all four years of high school (LHS), So I'm a band geek too. I LOVe classical music. I LOVe listening to film scores. but I Also love contemporary Jazz, jazz standards, JOhn Mayer, Herbie Hancock, Jack Johnson, Al Jarreau... anybody who has music WITH A PURPOSE!! I hate it when people try to call crap art. This includes anybody who claims to be an artist or musician but doesn't respect the craft well enough to truly learn it. I love film.... indie and mainstream. I hope to be a filmmaker someday. That's been my biggest hope and driving aspiration since... forever. But until I can go to school for that I'm just trying to figure things out... don't ask.. very long and heavy story. I plan to work for the Peace Corps sometime during my career. And hopefully I can do DCI (Drum Corps International - dci.org) for a year or two before I age out of eligibility for the program. I believe that creativity, imagination, and a mind that works are God's greatest gifts to ALl of us. If we didn't have those things nothing good would ever happen. No progress worth ever having would be made. We should all care enough to cultivate those things to their fullest potential but since many don't, somebody's gotta do it. Here are my VIEWS ON "The general American Public" ... Most people,.. are undiscovered individuals if that makes any sense... they're just slighty varying reflections of the what's accepted in the mirror of society. What you see on T.V.,.... in some movies,.. hear in music,.. and see under the headline of "Most Popular" in the yearbook, that's what's accepted and that's who most people think they are. But they've never really realized or figured out I guess, who the true individual within them is. I don't blame them for it, because it's not (always) a choice that people are equipped to make. Although I think everyone should realize at SOME point that there is more to life than acceptance. Things like THE ARTS are GREAT because THEY are what inspire people to discover themselves and see world from THEIR eyes. To ask question for once. I love everyone, whether they/you like me or not, and I'm going to reach out my hand to others who need it. Even if you're not wiling to accept it I'll give it anyway ha. 24 hours a day. If ya need me just call me lol. There's too much negativity in the world for us NOT to take care of each other. And NOT to enlighten one another. We're all we've got. You wanna know what I'm talking about then listen to Stevie Wonder's song "Love's In Need of Love Today." There's WAY too much for me to talk about to place it all in this litle box so if you want to get to know me better then ASK! Ask anything. Say anything. I'm open and I won't get offended. I've seen, heard, and gone through way too much for anything to surprise me or to piss me off. Cause underneath there's a reason for everything everybody does and everything everybody says. I won't condemn you. I just try to understand - That's what life's all about right? What's the point if you can't learn from others. Right? Right. TTYL!
