Minnesota native, Mette is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota where she studied modern, hip hop, contemporary Brazilian, and an Eastern contemporized Indian technique named Odissi. Mette also has a Bachelors degree in Cultual Studies/Comparative Literature.
Within the close knit community of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Mette has had tremendous opportunites to work for, and collaborate with music artists, choreographers, dance companies, and filmographers like fellow Minnesota native Brad Ogbonna.
She has had the honor of performing with Black Label Movement, Contempo Physical Dance, Haus of John-Mark, Ananya Dance Theater, and Univeristy of Minnesota's University Dance Theater.
Mette has danced in works by Arnie Zane, Helen Tamiris (under the direction of Diane McIntyre), Marciano Silva Dos-Santos, Carl Flink, Joanie Smith, and Danny Shapiro.
Mette has been priviledged to travel the United States performing in music videos, commercials, various theaters, and art galleries. In 2011 she traveled to Port of Spain Trinidad to perform at Makeda Thomas' New Waves institute where she fulfilled her passion of research and speaking out about the social justice issues she has studied.
Musically, Mette has had the opportunity to dance for Minnesota artists such as Allan Kingdom, Michelle Kenney of Jello Slave, and producer Greg Shutte.
Since moving to Los Angeles, she has worked for Jennifer Hudson on Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve, and in her recent music video for the single, "I Can't Describe".
As a model, Mette has been featured in print work for Target Corp., OPTP Magazine, Ragstock, and a commercial for the Minnesota School of Cosmetology.
Currently, Mette lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
