Christoffer Schunk is a multidisciplinary composer and performer. His music involves theater, dance, film, text, electronics, field recordings, and western and world instruments, often combining multiple media. He has affinities for performance art and drawing musicality from human interaction.
As a performer, Christoffer is as versatile as his compositions. He works with musicians throughout Los Angeles as a pianist, vocalist, didgeridoo-ist, and accordionist.
Christoffer holds an MFA in composition and performance from the California Institute of the Arts where he studied under composers Anne LeBaron, Michael Pisaro, Vinny Golia, and Wolfgang von Schweinitz, as well as pianist Vicki Ray. He earned his BFA in composition from UC Santa Barbara under the direction of Jeremy Haladyna.
