Eric Matthew Wilkinson

Eric has been shooting and editing film and video since he was ten years old. He received an Eastman Kodak production grant for his film “The Distant Sound of Trains” and graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a degree in Cinema and Photography in 1999. Eric then spent five years working in the Los Angeles film industry. From his time there he earned experience on the sets of major motion pictures, music videos, independent films, and television shows. Los Angeles left Eric with an advanced technical and practical knowledge of film and video techniques and he wore many hats including Production Coordinator, Gaffer, and Cinematographer.
Exhibits of his documentary photography have been displayed in various galleries and venues in Los Angeles, St. Louis, and southern Illinois. He has been interviewed on television and radio as well as quoted in print media regarding these exhibitions.
As a professional filmmaker, cinematographer, and editor in the St. Louis area he has worked with the Missouri Wilderness Coalation, the LAD Foundation, Rumble to the River, THF Realty, Washington University, St. Louis Variety, The Ronald McDonald, The Youth Technology and Education Center, and UPN TV 46. Additionally, he has worked on video projects with several bands and artists. Eric's film works have been screened in several venues throughout the country as well as St. Louis' own Tivoli Theater and he has been closely involved in independent productions that have screened in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Chicago. He is currently pursuing work on a feature length documentary as well as a short narrative film.
