Also brevity is key in a demo reel, show your best work and ignore the stuff that sucks or is okay even if your reel feels too short. Here's a link to my reel, instead of using after effects for titles I shot a small scene to incorporate practical titles. Its important to note that I have too many titles for this reel I use this as my directing reel so I should not of had editing or cinematography on there. www.thomglunt.com

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, I have recently shot a short film on the RED and as of now its sitting in a sort of developmental purgatory. You see the film has been shot and edited, the music is completed, the effects in, the issue being a small segment in which I need animation / motion graphics [about 15 seconds] the sequence is to creatively illustrate the thought process going on inside of a person's head during a brief black out. I wanted the animation to resemble info-graphics commonly found online or in magazines. A good reference would be the Royksopp video for "Remind Me" but I am not requesting a rip-off. The project is not for profit and does not have a budget. So you could flex your creative muscles. I had some time off between videos and decided I needed to practice narrative.
