April Maze is a 'soul-folk' duo that have been referred to as a cross between Norah Jones and John Butler Trio.
Sivan from London met Todd from Cairns in a share house in Melbourne and April Maze was born on a road trip down the east coast of Australia in the summer of 2005.
They recorded their first CD (2006) with money raised from live shows and open mic prize money and sold over 600 copies of this limited first release. In June 2008 April Maze released their debut EP which has gained air-play on Triple J, local ABC, and on community radio stations across Australia. They have toured the Australian east coast numerous times, played many festivals including (Folk Rhythm and Life, Corinbank, Thin Green Line, Port Fairy, Adelaide Fringe), and toured NZ in April 2009. April Maze are currently playing regular gigs throughout Melbourne and Victoria, while working on producing their debut full length Album.
