Virtuoso, Jason Jermaine Flatts, born in 1981 in Long Island, NYC to emigrants of Trinidad & Tobago, is a self-proclaimed mutant with an ability to manifest his dreams and well on his way to join the list of acclaimed Brooklyn bred artists. Flatts' debut film, "Ordinary People" shows his promise as a screenwriter, director and as an editor. Though this is his first film, jJ is certainly not green; having worked on such Pro-jects as "The Taking of Pelham 123" and "The Dave Chappelle Show," as well as a plethora of others, he has a wealth of experience behind and in front of the camera. Flatts was educated on movie sets, at St. Francis College, in Brooklyn Heights, New York, at The Art Institute, in Tribeca of New York City and at Brooklyn Technical High School, in Ft. Greene, Brooklyn. He possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Film and Broadcasting. However, as a herald of our current renaissance, jJ's skills and talents as a film maker lay primarily in his extensive imaginative abilities, eclectic upbringing and exotic adventures in NYC, which he often refers to as "the concrete jungle".
