was born in the province of Florence in Italy and I am 36 years old. I work primarily in the UK and Italy since 1999. I have worked on many features between Italian and UK productions that have been released in cinemas, some received awards for best cinematography: at Yellow Fever Film Festival in Belfast (2010) “Seeing Heaven”, at MIFF in Milan (2011) “Days of Harvest” and at Vico Equense International Film Festival (2012) “The duck hunter”.
In recent years I worked on a variety of international film documentaries, “Girls on the Air” shot in Afghanistan, was nominated best film at IDFA 2009 in Amsterdam and is distributed by Cinecittà Luce. “Daspu” filmed in Brazil, was broadcast by GNT Globosat. “Silvio one of us”, an insight into Italian society was broadcast by Arte TV and presented at IDFA 2012, “Circle” is a documentary about the oldest Italian circus dynasty, “Sound from the hallways” is an art film installation filmed in the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, Cairo.
I also worked in commercials for Ogilvy agency, filmed web commercials for Sony, Vogue online magazine, Lidl, and recently worked with Metz and Racine photographers in London. I have been lecturing at the SAE Institute in Amman, Jordan.
I am a member of AIC (Italian Association of Cinematographic Photography Authors) and IMAGO since 2009.
