Pour ceux qui veulent savoir qui je suis. Je suis un heureux mélange d’athlète, enseignant, formateur, kinésiologue et pagailleur qui vit pour partager sa passion de l’eau vive. Ses six dernières années, j’ai été à l’avant-garde du développement du kayak de rivière dans la province de Québec avec une implication dans des projets tel que la réforme du programme d’enseignement de la fédération, le développement du circuit compétitif de slalom, la tenue d’événement de freestyle, les festivals d’eau vive et la réunion possible des kayakistes et canoteurs d’eau vive sous une même organisation (ce dossier est loin d’être réglé!). De plus, au printemps 2006, j’ai déménagé au Saguenay pour démarrer ma propre école de kayak sur le site des championnat du monde de slalom de 1979 à CEPAL. Le Centre Torrent est une école qui, en plus de donner des cours d’initiation, se spécialise dans les cours avancés, les programmes pour enfants et les excursions guidés de tous les niveaux. So for those who don’t know me, I’m an athlete, mix instructor/instructor trainer, kinesiologist and paddler who breath to share his passion of whitewater kayaking. For the last 6 years, I’ve been at the forefront of whitewater development in Quebec province with involvement in project like the instruction program reform, the slalom race circuit, the freestyle cup, the development of whitewater festival and the reunion of whitewater kayaker and canoer under a same umbrella (this one is not done yet!). On top of that, in spring 2006, I open my own kayaking school, the Centre Torrent, at the site of the 1979 world championship. The school is specialized in advance kayaking and kids programs, but we also offer beginner course and guided intermediate and advance rivers. In 2008, we will open a small kayaking store inside the school to answer the needs of the student and the local boater.
