We are an international performing arts company, based in the UK, that creates genre-crossing musical spectacles, from avant-garde stagings of classical opera and new music theatre pieces, to digital performance installations and sci-fi rock ballets. Our work moves between innovative, multi-media productions of classical opera, experiments in new performance technologies, and the development of new training and rehearsal methods for movement and the voice. For us, opera is an idea and an ideal—a departure point for creating work that is formally complex and emotionally present. Opera is a place where genres and styles blur. Working with collaborators across media, we create theatrical experiences that are at once familiar and strange, bringing new perspectives on old traditions and challenging audiences to see differently.
