John Pappas is a freelance documentary producer based in Chicago. His other works include "Uptown: Portrait of a Palace" (2006, 26min) and "The Oldest Polar Bear" (2007, 15min). He has also worked in television as an associate producer for A&E and Discovery. At night, he dons the moniker of "DJ Sangre" and spins house music at Chicago clubs and on "The Fringe," his weekly radio show on Chicago's 89.3 WNUR Streetbeat.
