Danny Ray, a native of Beavercreek, Ohio, has been writing songs for over 30 years. Early on he gained recognition by winning several songwriting contests through ASCAP Nashville and Embassy Music. After receiving offers from BMG, Word Music and Benson Music Group, Danny agreed to write exclusively for world renowned BMG. It wasn’t until the summer of 2000 that Danny and his wife Marie made the move to Nashville. Shortly after that, Danny was offered a record deal in Christian music with Granite Records. Although the record deal never quite panned out, Danny continued writing songs working with March Music, Sony Music and Big Picture. He has had songs on hold with Country Music Recording artists Rascal Flatts and Mark Chesnutt. His songs have been recorded by many independent artists including, Amanda Fessant, Sacred June, Tanner Laughlin, Randy McLellan and Canadian Country Music sensation Brad Johner, to name a few. His songs have been played on radio stations in the United States, Canada and in Europe. Currently, Danny Ray continues to actively write songs in various genres of music, influenced by the incredible forgiveness, remarkable grace and unrelenting mercy found in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
