Rachel Avena Brown, born Rachel Avena DeTrinis in 1982, is a New Orleans Center of Art graduate. Mrs. Brown studied at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, The College of Santa Fe, and received her Masters of Fine Arts in Studio Art from New York University in 2007. She was a member of the artist collective The Front, and has exhibited her work at The New Orleans Contemporary Arts Center, and in Berlin. Rachel Avena Brown has taught in the Recovery School Districts’ Talented Art Department in New Orleans. Mrs. Brown completed Bikram Choudrury’s Yoga Teacher Training Fall of 2012 in Los Angeles.
