Take a kid who wants to be everything, a vivid imagination, and a family big on home movies and the career choice becomes obvious.
I began making 8mm films with my friends at age 10, which included experimentation with animation and visual effects. When I entered the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 1978, I already knew most of the curriculum. A minor in computer science inadvertently prepared me for the future of production.
Following a string of jobs encompassing broadcast news, corporate video, narrative shorts and features, the increasing sophistication and affordability of production technology allowed me to beef up my own resources and begin realizing the bigger dreams!
