I grew up on a farm in Northern California.

My work is an autobiographical examination rooted in and of the Northern California natural and unnatural landscapes of my childhood. As far back as I can remember I contemplated where I was at any given point in time in relation to the natural and unnatural worlds; the question arising from an early existence defined by the naturally formed Sierra Nevada Mountains feeding the Sacramento River feeding the Pacific and the unnaturally formed landscape of the farm, the levied river and the infrastructure crisscrossing all of it. A lifelong interest in the natural and unnatural landscapes manifested in self-defined and self-created landscapes, natural or otherwise.
