In the studio, Wolkowicz’s current work utilizes the imagistic combination of the human figure and architecture. Through drawing, photography, video and sculpture she explores, in both formal and conceptual terms, the comparable nature and interdependence of body and space as signifiers for the intangible of life. Her work examines proximity and distance, the way in which past and present exist concurrently, memory occupies space and the importance perspective/ positioning/ experience has on the construction of individual realities within a shared experience.
