Brian Hamm has been working as a Director of Photography since 1999. Traveling through most the United States, Africa, Germany, Budapest and other countries, to shoot television shows, documentaries, music videos and feature films. Brian began with a degree in Audio Post Production and ventured his way onto set as a Production Assistant, then to a Grip, a Best Boy and eventually picked up a camera to shoot short films and music videos.
Brian understands the value of his supportive local crew to achieve the highest production quality and while making set-ups efficient to enhance creativity. With experience in film, high definition and RED, he has developed the skills to create a supportive look to suit any project.
Brian has worked for Discovery Channel, History Channel, Sirens Media, Discovery ID, A&E, Drive Thru Records, Cash Money Records, Astone Flanagan Agency, KeJo-Productions, MSNBC, California Department of Justice, and many others.
Awards include “Best Cinematography” at the Sacramento International Film Festival, Regional “Emmy Award” for Idea Factory, “Best Documentary” at the Honolulu International Film Festival, as well as several film festival “Official Selections” for short films, documentaries and features.
Brian’s talent has allowed him to build a network of clients who have continued to bring him new opportunities throughout the years. His professionalism, passion and dedication to his craft are evident in his work and compliment his character as a DP.
