Jimmy Ludwig holds degrees from the Universities of Michigan and Washington, in Theatre, English, and Acting. He started his career as a Professional Actor over fifteen years ago, and since then has appeared on and off Broadway in such shows as Blue Man Group, De La Guarda, Little Shop of Horrors, Monty Python’s Spamalot (directed by Mike Nichols) and the now cult classic musical john & jen. He has appeared at storied Regional Theatres around the country, including the Arena, Ford’s, the Guthrie, and the Cleveland Playhouse to name just a few. His film and television work includes appearances on Chappelle’s Show, Lipstick Jungle, Law & Order, One Life to Live, and Ghost Town. As a writer, James has penned screen and teleplays for The National Actor’s Draft, The Perfect Pitch, and A Face in the Rock; he is also presently at work on a novel, tentatively entitled Yooper Scooper. Jimmy started his film company, Back40 Films, in 2003, and has since written, produced, and acted in over 50 short films. But one of Jimmy’s proudest jobs was as a Brand Ambassador for Johnny Walker whisky, where he fell in love with the stories behind the brand. He and Mark met during the stormy days of the American Revolution (well, people were breaking into song at the time), and began working on The Happy Hour Guys with The McSorley’s Pilot in 2006. They have travelled all over the country, but the journey has only begun; in every Third Place they visit, there’s another great story, and another fine drink. What’s not to love?
