I describe myself as a trained observer. I have to be if I want to make it in this crazy news business.
On a regular basis I have to shift gears between general assignment, feature and investigative reporting. Along the way, I've made friends and enemies. It's understandable. Scammers and those who victimize people in one way or another don't like to be exposed on television.
Currently I'm working on special segments called, Gina's People. They're all about recognizing folks who make a difference in their communities. Hopefully, we'll continue these segments for a long time but you never know. My many years as a reporter has taught me that nothing is forever and few things are predictable. Just when you think you've got it all figured out, something or someone will throw you for a loop. You just have to be ready for it.
That's my world in front of the camera. To see my world behind the camera, go to my photo website.
I hope you enjoy my photos.
