What unites us as human beings is the commonality of our emotional lives. As an artist I believe that in examining and sharing my personal stories I am creating a space for spiritual solidarity, an opportunity for important conversations to begin and sometimes communal release of our oft unexamined and unexorcised inner recesses. Well aware that memoir has a tendency to slide into navel-gazing I pull away from the intimate details of my story in favor of exploring the psychological terrain created by those experiences. I have a BFA in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts and I make body based work in dance, film, performance and installation. Works have been presented at On the Boards, Seattle Art Museum, Velocity Dance Center, Space Available, Open Flight Studio, Henry Art Gallery and at The Hedreen Gallery at Seattle University in Seattle, WA and at Urban Grace and SOTA in Tacoma, WA. I have created short dance films that have played internationally.
