During his first seven years in fashion, Marlon Gobel worked with two of America’s most prominent men’s fashion designers; Thom Browne as Direc- tor of Operations and Assistant Creative Director for Michael Bastian. He views his time with both designers as apprenticeships, because for Marlon, it was the desire to learn the best skills from the most knowledgeable designers that mattered most.

In 2010 Marlon launched his eponymous line with a fashion proficiency unlike any other fashion designer. The launch of his brand was strategic; it was only about when, Autumn/Winter 2010. MARLON GOBEL was picked-up by BERGDORF GOODMAN on their first season, and the collec- tion also sold Internationally to TOMORROWLAND in Japan.

Over the last 8 seasons MARLON GOBEL has worked with, and collaborat- ed alongside some of fashion’s most influential designers and company powerhouses such as; Christian Louboutin, Swarovski, PEPSICO, Bumble & bumble., and GANT just to name a few. He has been featured in numerous fashion magazines and publications from American VOGUE to The New York Times. Marlon also earned fashion MBA from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2012.

His fan base includes fashion icons such as Tommy Hilfiger who is quoted as saying Marlon’s, “dedication to creating menswear designs is apparent in his bold tailoring and innovative, timeless collections.” President of MAC Cosmetics & ESTÉE LAUDER Mr. John Dempsey has said, “Marlon’s work is very influenced by American men’s style, however there is a uniqueness to his designs which have been described as “rebellious, athleticism with strong tailoring.” Mr. Steven Kolb of the CFDA has stated, “Both CFDA Presi- dent Diane von Furstenberg and I have completely connected with him and are committed to nurturing his talent and ensuring his success.” His work is also admired by Sir Elton John, Ms. Whoopi Goldberg, and Mr. Hamish Bowles of VOGUE.

Gobel has accumulated 12 years in the fashion world, and years of art & design study at London’s Central Saint Martins. His excitement for fashion is contagious and his creativity is addictive.
