Douglas J. Sloan is the founder of Icontent, a highly acclaimed NYC based company that produces films, TV commercials and internet content.
Sloan has directed, interviewed, and produced numerous works with artists, musicians and celebrity talent.
Mr Sloan is the recipient of over 100 awards including twenty-three CINE awards for directorial excellence in film.
In 2008 Sloan’s short documentary on photographer William Klein was broadcast on PBS THIRTEEN’S documentary series and was an Official Selection at prominent international film festivals.
In 2009 Sloan’s short documentary Annie Leibovitz: “So There You Go” was a Gold Medal winner at the NY Festivals and an Official Selection at numerous international film festivals.
Currently Sloan’s short doc John G. Morris: “Eleven Frames” is circulating various festivals.
Mr. Sloan is developing a feature length documentary centered upon the story of Letizia Battaglia and her harrowing struggle to document and expose the savagery of the Italian mafia from inside Palermo over several decades.
He lives in NYC with his wife Diane and two children Maxwell and Mica.
