David Forlano, a graduate in painting from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, is a recent transplant to New Mexico. He and his wife have been producing short (10 minute) format documentaries that have been selected to show on Current TV, won online competitions, and have been presented at Festivals. Mr. Forlano's musical compositions for theater and choreography (1994-2001) led to his explorations in movement and sound based performance. His work as a versatile multimedia performer/composer has been supported by funds from The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and Meet the Composer and presented at venues in San Francisco, Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York. Mr. Forlano continues his 23 years collaborative art jewelry studio with Steve Ford. Their collaborative work is collected in private collections as well as the museum collections of The Fuller Craft Museum, Brockton, MA, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston MA and The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Philadelphia, PA.
