On the Road!!! travelgreen.tv
We live in a time of great change.

We live on a short bus powered by vegetable oil and make it a daily practice to stay in the flow; flexible and unbound by rigid schedules. As a result, we meet extraordinary people, discover edge-bending, eco-focused projects and hitch rides on amazing adventures (and sometimes on magic carpets). We laugh a lot, ‘cause if it’s not fun, it’s not worth it. We sort our recyclables and change our lightbulbs and ride our bikes (or electric scooters) whenever possible. And sometimes we mess up and buy products with too much packaging. Hey, we’re all human. We believe in learning from our mistakes.

TravelGreen! TV is an experiment, an adventure in learning how to live bountiful lives while leaving the smallest footprint on the earth possible. We’re visiting the most innovative, fascinating folks and places all over the world who are developing technologies and living lifestyles that model this new way of living. And we’re documenting and broadcasting it all in super-juicy HD for YOU, since we understand that you’ve got stuff to do and places to be, too.

... the mobile setup I'm using, since I've had quite a few inquiries and I have done a lot of research to come up with what I've got so far! I am shooting with a Canon HV20 with a WD-43 wide angle adapter and a Sennheiser MKE-300 video mic. I also have a Manfrotto Monopod and Tripod- the former of which I usually take exclusively with me because it travels so easily. If anyone has a good rec for a solid, super light and reliable fluid tripod please let me know because mine is really too heavy to take on a plane with me... I also recently bought a camouflage colored Tamrac photo backpack for my HV20. I searched high and low for the perfect carrying case and this is it! It fits the camera with the mic in the bottom camera bag and I can put tapes, my phone, my charger and a couple of misc personal items and it doesn't look like a camera bag at all. Here's a link: http://www.tamrac.com/frame_adv.htm

awwww that is absolutely gorgeous! I have been to sweden but never norway, although I am half norweigan. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous piece of your hometown! I would agree with Miro, though- some close-ups pulling back to reveal the entire landscape would make this piece even nicer... I would also add that if you could find more motion in the scene and use less pans and zooms it might add a nice effect. There were times that I thought you were just zooming in on a photograph because everything was so still.

Overall, a gorgeous capture of a beautiful place! thanks for sharing!

Yup, HV20 with a WD-43 wide angle converter and a Sennheiser MKE-300 video mic and that's about it. It's a nice mobile camera package! Travels so much better than my giant VX-2000 =) ahhh, gotta love technology!

Glad you thought so- I thought the audio was a disaster when I was editing it! It is definitely better than the stock mic, though. I am using a Sennheiser MKE-300 video mic. I love it because it is small enough that it doesn't show up in my videos using a wide angle lens adapter. It works well with the HV20 and yields consistently good audio in a variety of situations.

My next purchase will be the Sennheiser evolution wireless lav kit. I did, however use a lav in the final shot with the hula hoops on top of the bus. I rent lavs sometimes when I need 'em.
