While Hollie’s entertainment background began in music as a full time professional pianist, singer and composer, she started in the film industry as an actress and has appeared in lead and principal roles in numerous films and commercials.
Her love of film now includes her work behind the scenes as a writer, director, editor, and composer. Already a published author for her full length memoir, I’m Not a Groupie I’m IN the Band!, she has written, directed, edited, and composed the music for many short films. Her most recent short film, The Grade, has been accepted in over a dozen festivals and was nominated for 3 awards at the LA Film Festival (Best Drama, Best Actress, and Best Theme).
In late 2010, she wrote the feature screenplay Gabby’s Wish. The script received very positive reviews, and with her team and investors behind her, pre-production was in place July 2011. She was fortunate to cast some well known talent as well as offer a lead role to actress Adrienne King of Friday the 13th fame. The film is finished and WON the Audience Choice Award at POWfest which hosted the local premiere. It will also premiere in LA along with screenings at other festivals while in negotiations for distribution.
Her next writing venture started as a short film concept about Sign-holders. Her idea was expanded upon when filmmaker Chris R Wilson wanted to work on a feature length script, and together they assembled a solid writing team. Thus BAD SIGNS was born.
Hollie now concentrates her efforts on seeking distribution for GABBY'S WISH and handling the business and producing side of BAD SIGNS.
